In March of 1975, Mildred Fondren found a lump on the side of her neck. Her local doctor performed a biopsy and discovered that the lump was cancerous. A doctor in Jackson performed surgery and told her that she had only months to live.
Mildred was referred to Dr. Arnold Smith for a second opinion. She credits his innovative treatment with the many subsequent years she has been able to enjoy.
